Following Dangote Refinery’s recent price reduction of N40, several filling stations across Nigeria have slashed their petrol prices below N900 per litre. In Lagos and Ogun states, many stations now sell petrol at N875 and N890 per litre, although some still charge above N900.
MRS Oil has dropped its petrol pump price to N885 per litre in Lagos, while prices vary by region: N895 in the South-West, N905 in the North-West and North-Central, and N915 in the South-South, South-East, and North-East.
After Dangote reduced its gantry price from N880 to N840 per litre, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria announced a nationwide price cut. However, some marketers initially refused to lower prices, selling at N925-N960 per litre
Depot owners have since reduced prices below Dangote’s rate, adjusting from N920 to N840 per litre. In Lagos, petrol prices at various depots are as follows:
– Rainoil, Matrix, Pinnacle, Swift, and Wosbab: N840
– Aiteo: N837
– First Royal and Menj: N838
– NIPCO and Satellite: N844
– Integrated Energy: N839
On the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, prices range from N875 to N910 per litre, with specific stations charging:
– As-Sallam: N875
– AP: N880
– RainOil: N910
– SGR: N880
– NIPCO: N900
