Firm Donates Computers to Enhance Learning Experience

Edge Tech Solution, a technology firm, has donated computers to People’s Girls Grammar School, Molete, Ibadan, to provide ICT literacy opportunities for students and enhance their knowledge.

According to the director of the firm, Dr. Seyi Akanbi, the donation is crucial in today’s digital age. “Computer is not just important at this age, but it has become a key aspect of living that people cannot do without,” Akanbi said while handing over the equipment to the school management.

Akanbi emphasized the importance of providing students with hands-on experience with technology. “The earlier students have access to tools that enable them to have a hands-on experience, the better for them,” he said.

The donated computers, Akanbi noted, will not only enhance learning but also prepare students for the future. “The future is right here, and if the future is right here and our students do not have the right resources to optimize the future, I don’t know what can become of such a generation,” he warned

Akanbi also spoke on the state of education, stressing the need for the government to pay attention to the future and provide resources that will prepare students for it. “Government needs to pay more attention to where the future is going, the trend and the patterns, and provide resources that will prepare the students for the future,” he said.

He added, “When we graduated from school, we had little resources because we were not fully prepared. So, we have to make sure that we intentionally provide resources, training, and tools that will make these children have a better future than what we have currently.”

The principal of People’s Girls Grammar School, Mrs. Veronica Alabi, thanked the donor for the gesture, saying the equipment will go a long way in enhancing the learning experience of the students. She assured optimal usage of the equipment and sought partnership with the firm in the future.
