Human rights activist Aisha Yesufu has described men in Nigerian politics as “very cowardly” following Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s declaration that Nyesom Wike is the common leader of political stakeholders in the state.
Yesufu made the remark while reacting to a post on X showing Fubara telling those who previously regarded him as their leader during the political crisis to stop doing so, as they now had a common leader.
“That is the typical behavior of Nigerian men in politics. They are quick to grovel, ass lickers and very cowardly!!” Yesufu wrote.
The activist argued that women in politics tend to demonstrate greater courage and determination to defend their positions, urging their male counterparts to show similar resolve.
“The women are usually bolder and can stand their grounds,” she added, before challenging men: “Please own your gender with your full chest!”
