Firm Supports Indigenous Students with Scholarship Awards

Sundry Foods Limited (SFL) has awarded scholarships to several undergraduate students from its host communities. Each beneficiary received N250,000, which will be disbursed yearly for four years. The scholarship was presented at SFL’s corporate headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, by Executive Director Nnamdi Opara.

Opara stated that the award is part of SFL’s education intervention initiative, aimed at supporting indigenous students from host communities. This initiative aligns with the company’s corporate social responsibility policy. “Education is the passport to an outstanding future for the youths of our country, and that is why our organisation seeks to reward and support exceptional undergraduate students, especially the indigenous students from amongst our host communities who have demonstrated academic excellence and good character in their chosen course of study in a tertiary institution,” Opara said

The scholarship is an annual ritual, designed to contribute to the educational development of host communities and empower the people. Opara congratulated the beneficiaries and encouraged them to continue working hard, striving for excellence, and giving their best. “We recognise the importance of education in moulding the character and empowerment of the youth to become better-equipped personalities ready to make a positive impact in society,” he added.

The scholarship award is a testament to SFL’s commitment to its host communities and its efforts to promote education and development in the region. By supporting exceptional students, SFL aims to foster a new generation of leaders and change-makers who will drive positive change in their communities
