Bayern Munich’s 18-year-old prospect, Lennart Karl, has issued a bold warning to Real Madrid ahead of their upcoming Champions League quarter-final clash on Tuesday.
A Tense Battle at the Bernabeu
Real Madrid will welcome Bayern Munich for the first-leg tie at the Santiago Bernabeu. Both teams were in action over the weekend in their respective domestic leagues.
Real Madrid suffered a 2-1 defeat to Mallorca in La Liga, while Bayern Munich edged past Freiburg 3-2 in the Bundesliga.
Karl’s Confidence Ahead of the Big Match
Following Bayern’s win over Freiburg, Karl was asked about the upcoming encounter with Real Madrid. The young midfielder responded (via Mundo Deportivo): “We have talked in the locker room about how this victory gives us a lot of confidence for the game in Madrid.”
He added, “It’s very important to have won. In fact, right now we feel unbeatable.”
Bayern’s Impressive Season
Bayern Munich has been in formidable form this season, losing only two matches across all competitions. With a nine-point lead over second-placed Borussia Dortmund, they currently sit at the top of the Bundesliga table.
