It was revealed yesterday that the FIRST female Israeli soldier has died while battling Hamas in Gaza.
A 20-year-old paramedic named Staff Sgt Agam Naim perished in an explosion with three of his colleagues.
The troops had broken into a structure that was set on fire in the Tel Sultan district of Rafah, southern Gaza. They were members of the 52nd Battalion of the 401st Armoured Brigade.
With their demise, Israel has now lost 348 people in its ground battle against Hamas since October 7.
Muriel, Naim’s aunt, told Walla news agency that “Her parents were very afraid of her service.
“She came for advice, and there was a big family conversation when she was sent to Gaza.
“In the end, we told her to follow her heart, and she said something I’ll never forget.
“She said that she wouldn’t be able to look into the eyes of the mothers of her comrades if they were going to Gaza and she wasn’t there to take care of them.”
