Francis Nwifuru, the governor of Ebonyi State, has emerged the chairman of the Board of Trustees for forum of former State House of Assembly presiding officers.
The Forum is a national organization made up of former presiding officers, speakers, and deputy speakers from Nigeria’s 36 states. Its goals are to improve democratic administration, encourage cooperation among former state lawmakers, and make a significant contribution to the country’s growth.
After being elected to the Ebonyi State House Assembly in 2011, Nwifuru served as Speaker from 2015 to 2023 before being chosen as the state’s fourth civilian governor.
His chief press secretary, Dr. Monday Uzor, provided journalists in Abakaliki with a statement on Saturday that included this information.
Nwifuru played a significant role in advancing good governance during his tenure as Assembly president by working with the Executive branch to make sure that policies and initiatives aligned with the needs and goals of the populace.
