Gregory University Inducts 83 Medical Doctors

Gregory University, a privately owned institution located in Uturu, Abia State, has administered the physician’s oath to 83 medical doctors who recently graduated from its School of Medical Sciences. The induction ceremony marked the third batch of medical doctors from the university, comprising 26 males and 52 females.

The Founder/Proprietor of the university, Prof. Gregory Ibe, expressed his vision for massive human empowerment, particularly in medicine. “The establishment of Gregory University Uturu was driven by my vision for massive human empowerment, particularly in medicine. I am thrilled to see this vision unfold with the induction of our third batch of medical doctors, setting an all-time high record of 83 graduates,” he said.

Ibe congratulated the students on their success, stressing that it reflects the institution’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and ethical medical practice. “Your success is a reflection of our institution’s promise and a beacon of hope for a healthier future. Together, let us continue to empower humanity through quality education and healthcare,” he added.

The Registrar/CEO of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, Dr. Fatima Kyari, acknowledged the university’s impact, noting that it has established itself as a beacon of excellence. “The Council is optimistic about the transformative momentum and ongoing efforts to maintain our healthcare infrastructure,” she said.

The Chancellor, Ikechukwu Gregory Ibe (Jnr), advised the inductees to pursue deeper knowledge and advance healthcare standards. “The journey you begin today does not end with this ceremony; it is merely the beginning of a lifelong pursuit of excellence,” he said.

The university’s Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Augustine Uwakwe, highlighted the institution’s rapid development and commitment to producing God-fearing, highly skilled global leaders.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. C U. Njoku, advised the doctors to uphold professionalism and ethical practice, advocate for those in need, and commit to continuous education and professional development.

The overall best graduating student, Dr. Chidera Celine, thanked the management for their support and attributed her success to her mother’s dedication
