Hajj: Kano sets up clinic for pilgrims in Makkah

The government of Kano State announced that it had opened a clinic in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, in an attempt to offer sufficient medical care to its pilgrims.

In a statement released on Sunday, Ibrahim Shuaibu, the Deputy Governor’s Spokesperson and Head of the Media Team for Kano State Pilgrims, said that the clinic would give the pilgrims in the state the necessary medical care. It is intended to supplement the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, or NAHCON, clinic.

According to the statement, Aminu Gwarzo, the Deputy Governor of Kano State and the State Amirul Hajj, is expected to visit the facility right away after arriving from Madinah in order to evaluate the state pilgrim board’s degree of dedication to the pilgrims.

Ibrahim, the State Pilgrims Board’s Coordinator of Health Matters, stated that Binta Yusuf disclosed that the clinic, which would be located in Makkah’s House Number 5, has received approval.

She stated, “NAHCON officials have visited the location and approved the clinic’s opening.”

Governor Yusuf had previously funded a group of eleven medical experts, under the direction of Prof. Abdurrahman Sheshe, to treat pilgrims from the state. Binta pointed out that the clinic’s creation is an additional illustration of the state government’s dedication to the well-being of its residents in the holy land.

She mentioned that NAHCON has only permitted the opening of a clinic for its pilgrims in Makkah, the sole state in Nigeria.
