A video of an alleged hostage held in Gaza, whom Israeli media identified as Maxim Herkin, was published by the Palestinian militant group Hamas on Saturday.

The man mentions Israel’s Independence Day, which was last week, even though the video is purportedly undated and edited.

ZINGTIE adds that the individual also identifies himself as among the 59 hostages in Gaza.

Keep in mind that throughout the war, the Palestinian militant group has frequently published recordings of hostages.

Israeli officials, meanwhile, have previously written off these recordings as propaganda meant to exert pressure on the government.
