How first-class graduate Rebekah Sekidika dies after completing Pastor Jerry Eze’s 21-day fast

According to her father, Sampson Sekidika, Rebekah Sekidika, a first-class microbiology graduate from Benson Idahosa University in Benin City, completed 21 days of fasting organized by Pastor Jerry Eze prior to her passing.

At his daughter’s 24-year-old funeral on Saturday at the Port Harcourt cemetery in Rivers State, Mr. Sekidika made this statement.

On February 2, 2024, Ms. Sekidika passed away during a process performed by a team of medical workers at the Paragon Clinics and Image Diagnosis in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

It is believed that Sekidika overdosed on spinal anesthesia and died. She had a scheduled flight to the UK on February 9 to continue her education.

At the funeral, the distressed father spoke and stated, “She was a very obedient child and she made many promises to me. She completed 21 days of fasting with this pastor ‘What God cannot do does not exist’ before she died. When I saw my daughter’s corpse in a pool of blood inside the theatre, I asked ‘Are these all the promises you made to me?”

Pastor Eze is popular for the statement: “What God cannot do does not exist.”

Sekidika added, “She was clearly murdered in cold blood. I want justice. Justice will not bring her back but it will help to close the case. It will also help to ensure that anything you are doing you take the necessary precaution.

“Rebekah, wherever you are, but I know you’re with God. I want you to join us in getting justice.”

He expressed disappointment that his daughter’s aspirations to pursue further education had been dashed, pointing out that she was scheduled to travel to the UK with her visa in hand, tuition paid, and all the necessary arrangements completed for her to complete her master’s and doctoral degrees before she passed away.
