Afrobeats sensation Zinoleesky has opened up about the lengths he went to in pursuit of a music career, revealing that his journey involved some bold decisions at a young age.

In a conversation with SB Live, the artist shared that he left home early in life to chase his musical dreams, a move he described as one of the “crazy” things he did for his passion.

“Nigerian parents are always in denial whenever you what to do stuffs like music. They want you to do a professional course or learn a trade. So, you just have to find a way. Me, I did some crazy stuffs. I ran away from home to do music,” he said.

Zinoleesky explained that his path wasn’t initially straightforward, as he started out as a rapper before transitioning into singing a move that eventually brought him widespread recognition.

He first gained public attention in 2017 after freestyle clips of his performances began circulating on social media, quickly earning him a devoted online following.

At one point, it was rumored that he declined a recording deal with Davido’s DMW. However, in December 2019, he officially joined Naira Marley’s Marlian Music label.
