‘My husband is not hidden’ – Ruth Kadiri on keeping her marriage private

Renowned Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has spoken out about long-standing speculation regarding her decision to keep her husband, Mr. Ezerika, out of the spotlight.

Speaking during an appearance on the Dear Ife podcast by Diary of a Naija Girl, Kadiri explained that her marriage is not hidden but intentionally kept private to steer clear of unnecessary controversy.

The actress and mother of two clarified that her husband is very much present in her public life, noting that they often attend functions together.

She also mentioned that her husband simply prefers to stay out of the limelight. Kadiri expressed surprise at the expectations from some fans who feel she should put her relationship on display.

She said, “We go to church together, we attend events together, my life is not as private as people think. In the events I organize, my husband is always there.”

“For clarity, my husband is not a secret. People who know me, know him. And for me, that’s enough. Like, I don’t know why I will sit down and be thinking, what am I proving?”
