Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has revealed that he has prayed for God to take him when his time comes rather than allow his family to go through distress.
Pete Edochie made the disclosure while speaking about his health condition.
The actor spoke during a visit to his ailing colleague, actor Emmanuel, in Accra, Ghana, as part of his legacy tour on Wednesday.
While sharing his own health challenges to console Emmanuel, Pete disclosed that walking had become difficult for him and that he often wakes up with some parts of his body swollen.
He said he has asked God to take him home when his time comes, stressing that he does not want to become a burden to those around him.
“Sitting down here, I’m not very well myself. I’m not. Walking is a problem for me now. I still have hope that I will recover. Sometimes I got up and discovered that some parts of my body were swollen and after sometimes, they go down again just like my hand is swollen now.
“I just keep asking God, you are the offer of life. Whenever you feel it’s time for me to go, just take me. Don’t let me bother the people who are around me. No, just take me.”
