‘I used to date down’ – Tiwa Savage reveals past mistakes, says she now wants a wealthy man

Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian musician, has revealed the types of errors she made in her last relationship.

She claims that dating individuals who are not as financially stable as she is was a mistake.

According to ZINGTIE, Tiwa Savage married her ex-manager Tunji Balogun, also known as Teebillz, in 2013, but they were divorced in 2018 after trying in vain to work out their differences.

The “Koroba” singer stated that she is now eager to make amends by dating more affluent men.

In an interview with Zeze Mills, Savage clarified that she is currently in a stage of life where having money is a need for selecting a romantic partner.

“I used to make mistake dating down saying I don’t care if you’re not making money, it’s just love. But now, I think I need someone that just has money. I think I’m at that point now. Love is really nice but you can judge me for wanting a wealthier person if you want,” she said.

The singer added, “I want to try that [dating someone who’s wealthier], I have tried the other way for so many years. Let me try what it’s like dating a wealthy man.”
