‘I’m Nigerian from Oyo Kingdom’ – Ghanaian singer, Stonebwoy

Nigerian ancestry has been disclosed by Ghanaian artist Livingstone Etse Satekla, also known as Stonebwoy.

Stonebwoy, a member of the Ghanaian Ewe tribe, asserted that his forefathers originated in the historical Oyo Kingdom of Nigeria.

He went on to say that the Ewe, his tribe, were the first people to settle in Ilesha, Osun State.

The dancehall artist recently had a conversation with well-known Lagos influencer Ola.

Speaking in Pidgin, Stonebwoy said, “Me sef nah Naija, no lies. Me nah Ewe from Oyo Kingdom, my tribe migrated from Nigeria to Ghana here, na we get Illesha. Shout-out to my people in the southern part of Nigeria. Check Ewe, we root straight to Yoruba.”
