Israeli military captures ‘Jamaa Islamiya’ senior terrorist

The Israeli military has confirmed the capture of a high-ranking member of the Jamaa Islamiya militant group during a night operation in the Har Dov region.

In a message shared on X on Monday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the suspect was detained in a precise, intelligence-driven mission conducted by its personnel.

The IDF reported that the suspect was taken into Israel for additional questioning, and weapons were also seized at the location.

The military further noted that Jamaa Islamiya has participated in attacks targeting Israel and civilians in the northern region of the country since the conflict began.

It wrote: “APPREHENDED: A senior terrorist from the Jamaa Islamiya terrorist organization was apprehended overnight by IDF troops during a targeted intelligence-based operation in the Har Dov area.

“The terrorist was transferred for further questioning in Israel. Weapons were also located at the site.

“Throughout the war, the Jamaa Islamiya terrorist organization advanced terror attacks against Israel and its civilians in the north.”
