IT Expert announces N40 million Scholarship to Mark Birthday Celebration

Hanson Johnson, a renowned Information Technology expert and CEO of Start Innovation Hub, a tech company based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has announced a N40 million scholarship fund as his 2025 birthday giveaway. In a Facebook post, Johnson revealed that he had asked his followers what he should do for his birthday, and the overwhelming response was to provide scholarships and discounts.

“It’s my birthday month, and you asked, so I’m delivering. Over 98 per cent of you voted for scholarships and discounts, and I heard you loud and clear. This July, I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be giving out N40 million in scholarships and discounts of up to N200,000 off service offerings,” Johnson said.

To celebrate his birthday, Johnson has also slashed the school fees for three main courses at his IT Hub. The fees for Cybersecurity and Data Analysis have been reduced from N350,000 to N150,000, while Digital Marketing has been reduced from N250,000 to N50,000.

“Hurry now, the promo will end this July,” an explainer video posted on Facebook urged, calling on people to take advantage of the price slash.

Johnson’s company, Start Innovation Hub, has been at the forefront of building the capacity of tech talents in the Niger Delta region and connecting people to meaningful jobs globally in the digital economy. The company has graduated over 4,000 trainees who are now working in private and public corporations within and outside the country.

“Some of our graduates went ahead and co-founded tech startups, raising up to $2 million in funding. Some of them are now working in the USA, UK, Canada, and Germany, and in most big tech companies in Nigeria,” Johnson said, highlighting the impact of his company’s work
