Nollywood actress Jemima Osunde has talked about the horrible experience she had while filming a movie in Ibadan, Oyo State, after she became ill with a potentially fatal illness.
She claimed that the food she consumed on the set of the film caused her to get GERD three years ago, and she has been fighting for her life ever since.

She disclosed that throughout the past month, her health has been worse.

On her X handle, she wrote, “I’ve never regretted anything the way I regret taking that job and going with them to Ibadan to shoot under their care.. Got h pylori from set food and the aftermath GERD has left me fighting for my life the last 3 years.

“The past month has really been something. *sigh”

Her coworker Omowunmi Dada responded to Osunde’s tweet by recounting a similar incident in which she was left in a hotel after developing sepsis at an Oyo filming site.

She claimed that the producer contacted her for a reimbursement when she miraculously recovered from the sickness.

She wrote, “My dear, I got sepsis on a project in Oyo, they literally left me in the hotel. Thank God my family and management got a car to take me to a hospital in Ibadan. I got there unconscious. It was sepsis and I was lucky to be alive. Funny thing, production asked for a full refund. Hmm.”

Replying her, Osunde said, “OMG! Sepsis? Thank God for your life sis. Thank God! Sameee! I got myself to Lagos and to the hospital. Paid for my treatment myself. They were sending me messages about a refund. By the time my team sent a response with all the clauses they had breached in the contract, they went quiet. Talking about a refund when you haven’t even asked if I’ve recovered.”
