JUST IN: Flavour in deep pains

Flavour, the Nigerian highlife musician Chinedu Okoli, lost his father, Elder Onyemaechi Okoli. 

The “Ijele” crooner shared the depressing news on his X (formerly Twitter) account. 

Elder Okoli died on Wednesday, May 22, 2023. 

Flavour wrote in Igbo, expressing his sorrow, “My father, Ijele’s (his nickname) father, rest well. God gave and God has taken.” 

Fans and colleagues of the artist have been expressing their condolences through the comment section. 

The deceased’s funeral arrangements have not yet been made public by the family.
