JUST IN: Gov Fubara vows to probe Wike

On Monday, Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, declared that his administration will constitute a panel to investigate previous administrations, including Nyesom Wike’s immediate past administration.

Governor Fubara revealed the idea following the oath of office of Dagogo Iboroma as the state’s attorney general. Governor Fubara and Minister Wike of the Federal Capital Territory, or FCT, have been engaged in a heated debate.

The governor expressed scepticism that the state’s ongoing political turmoil would be addressed anytime soon.

The governor, who seemed to be referring to Wike, charged that his rivals were purposefully undermining his administration even as he expressed optimism that the state’s problems would be settled peacefully.

From now on, Governor Fubara promised to make tough decisions regardless of how the public would perceive them.

Additionally, Fubara addressed recent comments by Alabo George-Kelly, the Ministry of Works’ counterpart, and former Attorney General Zacchaeus Adangor, SAN.

The governor claims that by filing nolle prosequi against the state’s interests, the former attorney general and other opponents of his administration have been undermining the advancement of his government.
