Kwankwaso send strong warning to Gov Yusuf over exit from NNPP

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who was the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, has delivered a serious admonition regarding the defection of Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Governor of Kano State, from the party.

The ex-governor of Kano spoke in an interview with BBC Hausa.

He warned that the governor’s departure from the party would result in consequences, and noted that Yusuf and others who left with him would eventually regret their choice to leave the platform that had helped them gain power.

The leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement characterized the development as shocking and hard to comprehend, stating that the governor’s departure from the party had disturbed members and supporters throughout Kano State.

Kwankwaso disclosed that numerous people had come to him voicing skepticism regarding the defection, with a few conjecturing that it could be linked to a larger political arrangement.

“Several people have come to me saying they believe what happened was part of an arrangement, either between me and him or between me and those around him,” he said.

“Even I, on many occasions, find it hard to believe that events unfolded the way they did.”

He emphasized that the decision’s full implications would be revealed in time, pointing out that political actions frequently have enduring effects.

Recall that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf officially switched to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday after resigning from the NNPP on Friday.
