A recent report highlights a woman’s revelation about the payment participants received for playing injured victims during businessman Obi Cubana’s birthday party.
The Lagos-based event drew significant attention online due to nightlife figure Pretty Mike’s dramatic arrival with 50 women styled to look like accident survivors complete with bandages and makeup resembling wounds.
The dramatic showcase sparked widespread debate across social platforms, with many questioning its intent.
A TikTok creator known as Victoria Outfit has since revealed details regarding the payment offered to those involved. In a video posted to her TikTok, she shared that she and her closest friend took part in the performance. As per her account, each individual was given ₦10,000 for their involvement.
Victoria added that the women were also allowed to collect some of the money sprayed during the extravagant event. She explained that economic difficulties, especially the urgency to cover rent, influenced their decision to participate.
” I and my bestie were part of the ‘ Pretty Mike bandage girls’ . We had to do it because we wanted to pay our house rent, ” she stated in her post. ” Living in Abuja can be overwhelming, especially for young girls like us.
The high cost of living makes it challenging to make ends meet. We pray God crowns our efforts with success.”
