Chuba Akpom made history by scoring on his league debut for Lille in their match against Le Havre at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Saturday night.

Akpom became the fourth Nigerian player to achieve this feat.

Previously, Victor Osimhen, Moses Simon, and Terem Moffi had accomplished the same milestone with Lille, Nantes, and Lorient, respectively.

Akpom came on as a substitute after halftime and netted the only goal of the match for Lille in the dying moments of regulation time.

The 29-year-old striker joined Lille on loan from Ajax last month.
