Like PDP, Peter Obi told me mercenaries hired to destroy LP – El-Rufai

Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, revealed that ex-Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, informed him about mercenaries hired to destroy the party.

El-Rufai stated that Obi told him mercenaries were hired to cause crisis in the Labour Party, similar to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

He made this disclosure in Abuja at the National Conference for strengthening democracy in Nigeria.

“There are internal mercenaries in the PDP, hired and motivated to destroy the party. The Labour Party is also facing similar issues. Peter Obi himself told me, ‘I don’t know what’s happening in the party I contested with’,” he said.

El-Rufai also expressed concerns about the state of the All Progressives Congress, APC, noting that the party has lost its way.

The former governor stressed that APC has strayed from its founding mission, which was to solve the country’s problems.
