On Thursday night, Ademola Lookman scored in his first match for Atlético Madrid as they demolished Real Betis 5–0 in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.

The Super Eagles forward only finalized his transfer to the LaLiga side from Atalanta earlier this week.

Diego Simeone’s team took the lead thanks to David Hancko, with Giuliano Simeone scoring the second goal in the 30th minute.

In the 37th minute, Lookman seized his opportunity, capping off a counter-attack at the age of 28.

Antoine Griezmann and Thiago Almada added more goals as Atletico ran riot.

On Sunday, Atlético and Betis will meet again in LaLiga.
