LaLiga powerhouse Atletico Madrid has entered the race to sign Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman.

Despite having two years remaining on his current deal, the Nigerian forward is expected to leave the Italian club at the conclusion of the season.

Atalanta is reportedly open to letting the player go for a fee of €60 million.

As reported by Spanish publication Marca, Atletico Madrid has already initiated talks with the player’s camp.

However, Diego Simeone’s team is aiming to negotiate a lower transfer price.

The 27-year-old has delivered an impressive season, registering 18 goals and seven assists in 37 appearances across all competitions for the Serie A side.

Lookman made the move to Atalanta in 2022 from German club RB Leipzig.
