Afrobeats star Davido momentarily stopped his friends from smoking during his wedding festivities over the weekend, citing respect for his father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke.

A video circulating online captured the moment Davido politely instructed his groomsmen to put out their cigarettes, drawing widespread praise from fans for his display of courtesy.

In the clip, Davido can be heard saying, “My daddy is coming, if you’re smoking off it,” addressing his close friends, including his cousin B-Red and fellow artist Zlatan Ibile.

Davido and his partner Chioma finally celebrated their much-anticipated white wedding in Miami this past weekend.

In a touching detail, Pastor Joseph Adebisiola and two other clergymen who officiated the event were the same ministers who had presided over the wedding of Davido’s parents years ago.
