Rosy Meurer, an actress from Nollywood, has responded to criticism regarding her inconsistent statements about Tonto Dikeh’s unsuccessful marriage to Olakunle Churchill.

A few hours after this, she denied having any knowledge of, meetings with, or personal relationships with Tonto Dikeh while still being married to Churchill.

In 2017, the former couple divorced due to Churchill’s purported infidelity involving Meurer, who was alleged to be Tonto’s closest friend.

Meurer, in a video, denied the allegation and stated that she was a family friend of the couple.

”He (Churchill) and his wife remain family to me. We once hang out together before,” Meurer said at the time.

Four years post-divorce from the couple, Meurer wed Churchill.

The announcement of their marriage sparked controversy, with social media users accusing her of stealing her best friend’s husband.

Meurer finally addressed the five-year controversy regarding her marriage on Wednesday, denying in a new Instagram video that she has ever had a relationship with Tonto Dikeh.

After her new assertion, Meurer encountered criticism for lacking consistency.

In the face of the criticism, Meurer attributed her earlier video—where she referred to Churchill and Tonto as “family friends”—to pressure from her management in a lengthy Instagram post.

While asserting that she had no choice but to lie, she stated, “You want me to hang on to the nonsense old video I made in fear due to the fact that I was so young and innocent.

“I was dragged into violence by force. With all the pressure then, PR team will make you say many things even if you don’t feel it is right. Right now whatever I say is THE REAL TRUTH. I am now older and wiser. No PR team can force me to say what they believed is better than my truth. If you like, bring videos of 1000 years ago. It does not change my reality.”
