Hon. Mikhail Suleiman Mohammed, the vice chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi East, has passed away.
On Friday, his family made his passing public.
In Kogi State’s 2024 gubernatorial election, the APC was able to hold onto the governorship seat thanks in large part to the late Mohammed.
In the meantime, Comrade Joel Salifu, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, has expressed his profound shock at Mikhail Suleiman Mohammed’s untimely death.
The deputy governor called the news “shocking and devastating” in a statement sent by his chief press secretary, Unubi Emmanuel.
He emphasized Mohammed’s outstanding qualities as a gentleman who worked hard for the party and made a substantial contribution to the expansion and prosperity of the APC in the area.
The deputy governor recognized the deceased’s outstanding contributions to Kogi State’s development and prosperity and underlined how much his departure would be missed.
The deputy governor prayed to God for the deceased’s ultimate peace and for the strength to endure the irreversible loss for the bereaved family.
Mohammed was born in Oduh Ogboyaga, Kogi State’s Dekina Local Government Area, on October 1st, 1980.
He is survived by a wife and six children.
