Highlighting the telco’s significant impact in the country, Mumuni said, “MTN contributes six per cent to Nigeria’s GDP, and we expect this to grow by between seven per cent and 12 per cent by 2050. Digital services are the future of our organisation.”

She also shared her insights about digital opportunities in Nigeria, stating, “By 2075, Nigeria is projected to be the fifth-largest economy in the world, which means abundant opportunities and growth for creators across all sectors. Our key challenges include coverage affordability, data service affordability, and enhancing digital literacy. We’re actively working on solutions to ensure a better experience for our subscribers

During the session, Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer (CCSSO), Tobe Okigbo, addressed questions on how the company addresses digital skills challenges. He explained, “MTN addresses these challenges through our CSR efforts, particularly with the Digital Skills for Digital Jobs campaign. We contribute one per cent of our revenue annually to the foundation to support these initiatives.”

MTN Nigeria’s continuous investment over the past two decades reflects the company’s unwavering commitment to empowering Nigerians and nurturing the next generation of global leaders.
