Nigerian comedian and actor Richard Ayodeji Makun, widely known as AY, has affirmed his continued influence in the entertainment world, pushing back against the idea that fame diminishes with age.

In a recent post on Instagram, AY responded to critics who assume that aging naturally leads to fading relevance.

He countered that belief by asserting that he remains a key figure in the industry, still widely acknowledged and respected.

AY credited his enduring success to divine favor, insisting that his journey in entertainment is far from finished.

The celebrated performer made it clear that he has no plans to slow down or exit the spotlight, reaffirming his commitment to his art and to entertaining audiences across various age groups.

AY wrote, “They said the spotlight dims with age, I guess mine forgot the memo. ‎‎Call it grace.”
