Popular comedian and filmmaker, Ayo Makun, also known as AY, has voiced his concern over the excessive service charges imposed by Nigerian commercial banks.

He questioned how these banks can report trillions of Naira in profits each quarter, despite the ongoing economic challenges in the country.

Makun pointed out that many of these service fees are unique to Nigeria and emphasized that they need to be addressed and challenged.

On his X handle, AY wrote, “Where do banks get the trillions they declare as profits every quarter, even in a struggling economy? The small charges and debits on our accounts need to be challenged. Many of these fees are unique to Nigeria. Why is that? #BankingFees #Nigeria #Transparency #Shalom”
