In order to prove her innocence of suspected infidelity, Bisola, a lady, told a Grade A Customary Court in Mapo, Ibadan, how her husband, Oladimeji, used spiritual intimidation by setting a charm on the floor and challenging her to step over it.

The case included Oladimeji’s demand to dissolve his marriage to Bisola, according to a TRIBUNE newspaper.

He accused her of domestic abuse, frequent arguments, public humiliation, and a lack of affection.

He said his wife did not love or support him and often caused trouble, sometimes going to his workplace with their kids to demand money.

Bisola, however, denied all of the accusations and presented an alternative account of their marital issues. She claimed that her husband suddenly turned angry and emotionally aloof.

She described how they were forced to sleep in their home’s hallway after being kicked out of their common bedroom.

She claims that after Oladimeji accused her of infidelity and tried to test her allegiance with a charm, things became worse.

According to the court, Bisola was challenged to walk over the charm that Oladimeji had placed in their house if she was indeed innocent of his charges.

Another altercation resulted from Bisola’s refusal to cooperate, alleging shock and anxiety at the drastic action. Oladimeji demanded that she leave the residence after this occurrence.

She said: “We were living together peacefully in our marriage until he started accusing me of immorality. He became withdrawn towards me and even our children. He stopped me from sharing our bedroom with him and I started sleeping in the corridor.”
