MyAgroPadi, a fast-growing digital-first agricultural platform, has partnered with the Sarah Avwomakpa Foundation to host a free agricultural workshop aimed at empowering grassroots farmers. The workshop brought together over 250 rural farmers from Warri and surrounding communities, providing them with hands-on training in modern farming techniques, agribusiness management, and post-harvest handling.

According to O’Tega Teminor, founder of MyAgroPadi, “Technology is just the starting point; the real value comes from creating a network of farmers who are skilled, well-resourced, and connected to reliable markets. This workshop is another step towards building sustainable farming communities across Nigeria.

The workshop featured expert sessions from agricultural scientists, agribusiness experts, and agricultural engineers, including Dr. Okpidi Ebireri, Mr. Sunday Oyoroko, and Engr Anthony Eduvie. Participants also received essential agricultural inputs, including improved seedlings, to help boost yields for the current planting season.

Through its platform, MyAgroPadi provided farmers with free farmland coaching, training, and mentorship from agricultural experts, direct online access to off-takers via its marketplace, and funding opportunities to expand production and improve quality. Uyi Ogbeifun, representing the Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending, addressed participants on how to access funding to grow their farm businesses.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including Senator Ede Dafinone, Rev. Francis Waive, Ada Val Arenyeka, Esq., and Comrade Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, among others. Teminor’s vision for MyAgroPadi is to revolutionize Nigeria’s agricultural sector and achieve food security by empowering farmers with the tools, knowledge, and networks they need to thrive.
