The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), operating under Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), has dismantled a major terrorist supply network located in the Mandara Mountains area of Borno State.
According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, the targeted area has long served as a heavily fortified hideout for the Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS) faction of Boko Haram.
The statement revealed that the mountainous region, which lies along Nigeria’s border with Cameroon, had seen a recent surge in terrorist movements, including the stockpiling of supplies and the presence of high-ranking JAS leaders.
Based on intelligence reports, the air force identified the area as a strategic refuge used by the insurgents to harbor top commanders and facilitate operations.
In response, NAF launched a series of precision air strikes aimed at key terrorist assets. The coordinated assaults successfully destroyed critical targets such as logistics hubs, command facilities, and fortified shelters used by the militants.
