Niger Republic military captures notorious Nigerian terrorist kingpin

Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counter-insurgency specialist in the Lake Chad region, claims that security forces in the Niger Republic have successfully apprehended Kachallah Mai Daji, a well-known terrorist kingpin from Nigeria. 

Throughout his nearly ten-year terror reign, Mai Daji slaughtered scores of people, set fire to towns, abducted hundreds, and levied taxes on them. 

Mai Daji was arrested at Illela, close to the Nigerian-Nigeria border, while trying to smuggle cattle across the frontier.
