Bilikesu Olagunju, a 42-year-old Nigerian care worker, was arraigned after she was captured on camera mistreating a senior at his UK home.
In his capacity as a care worker, Olagunju of Congress Road in Abbey Wood entered a guilty plea to charges of intentionally neglecting or mistreating a person.
CCTV at the pensioner’s residence recorded her snatching the pensioner and dragging him about.
Olagunju showed up for sentencing on Wednesday, May 7, at Woolwich Crown Court.
But because she appeared in court without a lawyer, the sentencing hearing was postponed.
To Olagunju, Judge Charlotte Welsh said: “You have no representation. It’s entirely your choice but I think it’s really important you get a solicitor – they’ll help you apply for legal aid and you won’t have to pay.
“I know you’re very worried and I don’t want to frighten you but this is a very serious offence and you should have someone representing you.”
Olagunju was released on bail until she is sentenced at the same court in June.
