“Once you marry a Muslim man, prepare your mind to accept this” – Lady advises Muslim girls

Reactions on social media to the guidance a Nigerian Muslim woman gave other Muslim women have been mixed.

The woman said that Muslim wives should be aware that their husbands will eventually take another wife.

Speaking out on X (Twitter), she continued, saying that people should pray to Allah when it occurs because it is a norm they must accept.
Her tweet said as follows:

“Dear Muslim women, Once you get married to a Muslim man, prepare your mind that he is going to take another wife sooner or later. When it happens, accept qadr and pray for Allah’s guidance, ease, and protection for you and your kids.”

The woman continued by saying that anyone who finds themselves in that circumstance should do what they want after observing the conversations that the tweet was producing.

While some internet users supported her viewpoint, others disagreed, arguing that it’s a matter of choice and that the wife has the right to file for divorce if she wants to.
