How Nigerian Muslim women on Hajj are sexually molested, treated like prostitutes – Seun Kuti

Diligent Oluwaseun Anikulapo Kuti, popularly known as Seun Kuti, is a Nigerian musician who has said that people in the country of host country treat African women who travel for the Hajj like prostitutes. 

Seun said as he criticised Northern political elites for funding Jihad against Southerners in a now-viral video.

The musician claimed in the video that Saudi Arabians show little regard for Muslim women pilgrims from Nigeria. 

Seun wrote that he was told firsthand accounts of the sexual assault of African female pilgrims performing the Hajj in Saudi Arabia by a friend, the name of whom he chose not to reveal.

“When you people go for Hajj, you do not come back and say the truth. When you go for hajj, you do not talk about the discrimination. The way they treat your women as prostitutes,” Seun alleged.

“You people go there and get disrespected, which is why when you come here you want to prove that maybe when they see that you’re killing your brother in the name of Islam, they will respect you, he added.

He also disclosed that Saudi Arabians treat female Muslim pilgrims like prostitutes, groping them.
