A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has expressed confidence that residents of the state will not regret voting the party back into power during the 2026 governorship election scheduled for August 8.

Oyintiloye, a former legislator, made this statement on Saturday while hosting Bola Oyebamiji, an APC governorship aspirant, during his consultation tour of Obokun Local Government Area.

He stated that the party is well-prepared to deliver on the expectations of voters, pointing to a previously conducted needs assessment by the Civic Engagement Agency during the last APC administration.

According to Oyintiloye, the agency was originally set up to help the government identify and respond swiftly to the needs of the people.

While addressing party faithful and stakeholders at the gathering, he encouraged the electorate to stand with the APC in the upcoming election.

He added, “A detailed blueprint was prepared toward the end of Oyetola’s administration. With that and new ideas being developed, our next governor will be equipped to hit the ground running.”

In his remarks, Oyebamiji, who currently serves as Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), reaffirmed his commitment to revisiting the community-based needs assessment compiled during Oyetola’s tenure.

He pledged to revive the Civic Engagement Agency, describing it as a vital link between citizens and government.

“The document capturing the needs of the people is still intact. The previous administration invested significant effort in gathering this information. Let’s remain hopeful—we will return to it and do our best to bring it to life,” he said.

Oyebamiji also assured that if elected, his administration would prioritize the welfare of civil servants, artisans, and various interest groups across the state.

Expressing confidence in APC’s chances at the polls, he said that, if given the party’s nomination, he is prepared to defeat the sitting governor.

He concluded by appealing to voters in Obokun to support his ambition to lead Osun State as its next governor.
