Former Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi has characterized the All Progressives Congress, APC, as a party of failure, sorrow and anguish with no empathy for the masses
The former Minister of Transportation declared this in his resignation letter to the Chairman of the APC in Ward 8, Ubima, Ikwerre Local Government Area Rivers State, dated July 1, 2025.
ZINGTIE said that Amaechi had already declared that he no longer belongs to the ruling party, stating that the APC is no longer in existence.
According to Amaechi’s letter, his choice is based on his resolve to work with other patriotic Nigerians “to rescue our dear nation from the fangs of failure, pain and anguish which the All Progressives Congress now symbolizes”.
“After a wide range of consultations, I am convinced that this is the appropriate moment to call it quits as the party has derailed from the lofty ideals that birthed its formation and so, can no longer inspire hopes in Nigeria for a greater future. I have therefore, taken a decision to join forces with well meaning compatriots to start a fresh journey for the liberation of Nigeria.”
Amaechi is among the leaders of the opposition alliance that was established in 2027 to overthrow President Bola Tinubu’s current administration.
