Riley Moore, a congressman from West Virginia’s 2nd District, has called the persecution of Christians in Nigeria “a genocide.”

Moore made this claim in a tweet on Saturday, sharing his Fox News interview about the recent murders and kidnappings in Nigeria.

He claims that if the Nigerian government doesn’t cooperate with the US to stop terrorism, President Donald Trump will take control.

Moore wrote: “The persecution of Christians in Nigeria is escalating out of control. I believe it is now a genocide.

“It is up to the Nigerian government to work with the United States to stop the killings and kidnappings of our brothers and sisters in Christ.

“This human tragedy has to end, or else, @POTUS has made it clear that he will take action to stop this tragedy.”
