Police arrest 3 for raping 12-year-old girl in Imo

For allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl, the Imo State Police Command announced that it had arrested three suspects.

The command, through thorough and diligent investigations, arrested three suspects: Joseph Onyema, 35; Uzoma Nwanoreze, 30; and Eberechukwu Nwosu, 43. This information was provided by Police Public Relations Officer Henry Okoye, who made the arrest public in a statement made available to DAILY POST in Owerri.

The statement reads: “Investigation revealed that the suspects had unlawful carnal knowledge of the minor on different occasions, which made her develop serious vaginal injuries as well as a sexually transmitted disease.

“The victim is currently receiving intense medical care at the hospital. The suspects will have their day in court upon completion of a discreet investigation.

“The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, Aboki Danjuma, while condemning the barbaric acts in totality, calls on well-meaning residents of Imo State to support the Police in the onslaught against defilement, rape, and other sexual-related crimes in the State. ”

He declared that those who engage in such a social threat are completely disgusting and will face the full force of the law.
