The Nigeria Police Force has issued a wanted notice for Ihuoma Julia Nneji, daughter of Frank Nneji, the founder of ABC Transport, over allegations related to cybercrime.
The announcement was made on Tuesday night by the National Cybercrime Center (NPF NCCN) in Abuja and shared via the official social media channels of the police.
As per the notice, the charges against her include “criminal defamation, injurious falsehood and cyber stalking.”
Reports suggest that she, along with some associates, allegedly engaged in online harassment and blackmail targeting a businessman based in Abuja, starting from August and continuing through September 2024.
The full scope of the alleged online threats and extortion remains unverified.
Attempts to get comments from the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, were unsuccessful. Messages sent to his phone had not received any response as of press time.
However, a valid arrest warrant for Nneji was reportedly issued by the Federal High Court.
