‘Portable is under spiritual spell of family’s member’ – Singer’s sister claims

Gbemisola, the elder sister of Nigerian musician Portable, has suggested that her troubled brother is under the spiritual influence of a family member.

She made this statement amid his ongoing legal issues with the Ogun State government.

Reports indicate that the Ogun State government arraigned Portable, who is currently at large, on Thursday for allegedly assaulting officials from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development. He was charged alongside nine of his associates at the Abeokuta Magistrates’ Court by the state police command.

From his hiding place, Portable pleaded with the government to release his associates, claiming he is being “set up by certain individuals.”

While challenging the officers to provide video evidence of the alleged assault, Portable also expressed his frustration, warning that he might take drastic measures due to the overwhelming stress from the situation.

In a viral video shared on X, Portable’s sister offered an apology for his controversial behavior. She further claimed that a family member is using spiritual influence to control the singer.

“People of Nigeria, I greet you all. I’m Portable’s eldest sister, the first child of his mother. We are just three that our mother gave birth to.

“Portable has never steal before. I have never come out like this to speak, and he hasn’t even posted me despite being his sister. But he is the only one taking care of the family. If not for him, I would have died during my sickness.

“One of our family members, Akeem is the one casting spell on Portable, he is the one spiritually influencing Portable to misbehave and offend Nigerians.”
