VIDEO: Protesters set NCC office ablaze in Kano

Hundreds of protesters who were chasing away looters from stores and other commercial establishments have flooded the streets of Kano while donning face caps with the word “peace” written on them.

“Mu yanci mukeso ba ruwan mu da kayan kowa,” or “We need freedom from the government, we don’t want anybody’s properties,” was chanted by the “Peace” demonstrators using green face caps.

The NCC office on State Road was among the other locations that were looted and set on fire earlier as the protests took their toll.

The recently constructed NCC office, which was scheduled to be commissioned shortly, was looted and set on fire.

Journalists were informed by one of the “Peace” demonstrators that they would try their hardest to put an end to the destruction and looting of innocent people’s property.
