The Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund (RTYPF) has announced $2.4 million in funding to support 18 youth and youth-led organisations working towards creating a safer and more equitable digital ecosystem. This marks the second cohort of the RTYPF.

The funded organisations will develop innovative solutions and perspectives that enhance online safety by advancing efforts across various issues, including tech accountability, youth mental health, responsible AI, and technology-based climate solutions. One-year grants ranging from $50,000 to $125,000 were awarded to the selected organisations.

The cohort includes young advocates who have raised awareness about the Kids Online Safety Act and censorship of women’s health ads. Four individuals recognized by Forbes’ 30 Under 30 for their work in social media and AI are also part of the cohort.

The program is funded by several prominent organisations, including the Omidyar Network, AI Collaborative, Hopelab, and the Susan Crown Exchange.

Trisha Prabhu, founder and president of ReThink Citizens, a grant recipient, emphasised the importance of youth involvement in shaping the future of technology. “As a generation raised by technology, we believe that young people are essential to building a more responsible and humane technology future,” she said.

Prabhu highlighted the unique perspective that young people bring to the table. “We have a unique perspective shaped by growing up in a digital world—and that drives our commitment to creating a better, more responsible tech ecosystem for us, our peers, and future generations.
