Rivers crisis: ‘I know the solution, stop causing problems’ – Fubara supporters

Suspended Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, has stated that he is aware of the steps needed to resolve his challenges.

He issued a warning to his supporters, urging them to refrain from behaviors that could disrupt the ongoing peace efforts.

The Governor, who is currently facing political turmoil, noted that certain actions by his followers have been adding to his difficulties.

He made these remarks during a service of songs held in Port Harcourt on Sunday to honor the late elder statesman, Edwin Clark.

According to Fubara: “Don’t do things because you want to them; do the things I want. I’m the one wearing the shoes; I know the solution to my problem. I know how to walk through my problem.

“There are things you do that, rather than bringing peace to me, is poised my peace process and cause me problems.”

Earlier, Fubara had said he was not keen to return to his position as governor because “his spirit” had already left.

President Bola Tinubu has suspended Fubara, his deputy, and all members of the state House of Assembly for six months due to the political crisis in the state.

Tinubu also declared a state of emergency in Rivers State while appointing a Sole Administrator within the six months period.
