Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has shared insights into his relationship with fellow superstar, Lionel Messi of Inter Miami.
For over 15 years, both Messi and Ronaldo have dominated global football conversations, consistently outperforming their peers and collectively winning 13 Ballon d’Or titles.
Even in their late 30s and early 40s—Messi being 39 and Ronaldo 40—they continue to lead the earnings charts in football and across all sports worldwide.
Ahead of Portugal’s UEFA Nations League final clash with Spain on Sunday, Ronaldo addressed several topics during a media interaction.
According to a report by Alfremartinezz and relayed by Fabrizio Romano, Ronaldo revealed that Messi struggles with English, and he once helped translate for the former Barcelona star.
He emphasized the mutual respect between them, adding that Messi has always shown him kindness and courtesy.
He said, “Of course I have affection for Leo Messi. We’ve been on stage together for 15 years.
“I remember translating English for him at the Galas because he didn’t speak English well. He always treated me well and respected me.”
